You may not have heard of Irish-born singer/song writer Laura Izibor, but she’s making waves in Dublin and is now looking to serenade America with songs like “Mmm”, which was featured in Seven Pounds and Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married. She recently wrapped up a tour with John Legend, Aretha Franklin and Estelle, and now she’s on the road with Maxwell, promoting her debut album Let The Truth Be Told

At the age of 15, Izibor won a prestigious national performance competition, the “2FM Song Contest.” At 17, she started work on her debut album, taking the time to really hone her songs. At the young age of 20 Izibor’s debut album Let The Truth Be Told (June 2009) showcases her passionate, piano-guided songs that find her moving along the sides of Lauryn Hill and Jill Scott.

Izibor has performed several sold-out shows in her home country of Ireland, and opened for acts including James Brown, Angie Stone and The Roots.
