Summer Starts Now

Only Vegas Can Deliver the Ultimate Summer Getaway with its Famed Pool Parties

LAS VEGAS– While many parts of the country are still reeling from the prolonged winter chill, Las Vegas is heating up with some of the most exciting poolside parties and events in the world.  Pristine new pools and unrivaled entertainment collide at dozens of water oases on and off The Strip. Sun seekers can soak up more than just rays with world-class recreation found at many of Las Vegas’ prime resorts.

Wet Republic, at MGM Grand, is an alluring 53,000-square-foot venue comprised of saltwater pools, intimate dipping pools and specialized bungalows and cabanas. The expansive pool deck doubles as an entertainment stage for celebrity guests and entertainers.  With the latest in underwater speakers and cascading waterfalls, it’s an atmosphere that can’t be beat.

Sapphire Pool at Rio is a Brazilian-style, adults-only pool created by Sapphire, the World’s Largest Gentlemen’s Club. The pool area includes fully-outfitted cabanas with daybeds, umbrellas, lounges and personal hosts. The space also contains multiple waterfalls, Jacuzzis and live DJs, offering guests an experience straight from the beaches of Rio.

Only Las Vegas can bring the ocean and beach to the desert. Mandalay Bay imported more than 1,700 tons of sand for its 11-acre tropical water environment. With a state-of-the-art wave pool producing five-foot waves, three pools, a jogging track and a climate-controlled poolside gaming venue, the locale is like no other in the world.  The glass-fronted Beach Casino invites guests to indulge in three diverse levels featuring a casual bar and grill, open air table games and spectacular luxury pool villas.

From a tropical beach to an ancient Roman oasis, you’ll discover a place truly fit for the immortal at Garden of the Gods Pool at Caesars Palace. Appreciate the Roman reverence for healing waters as guests are surrounded by marble statues, relaxing fountains, poolside cabanas, sapphire pools and whirlpool spas. Enjoy private, European sunbathing at the newly redesigned Venus Pool.

Relaxation is first priority at The Mirage. For the ultimate private poolside pampering, Bare is defined by its distinctive, contemporary ambiance and ultra VIP service. DJ-spun music mix sets a lively mood as guests enjoy secluded European sunbathing.  Complimentary services including chilled cucumbers to soothe the eyes, iced towels, exotic frozen fruit, icy popsicles and Evian misting bottles offer a tempting respite from the hot Vegas sun.

The Palms showcases its recently remodeled pool area, which can accommodate up to 3,000 guests across two acres. Perhaps the pool’s most unique feature is The Glass Bar located under an elevated, glass-bottomed pool.  Patrons need only look up for the unique scenery of fellow guests swimming overhead. The pool area also features contemporary cabanas, where overnight guests can watch live concerts and events from king-sized beds.

The sophisticated Asian-themed beach club, TAO Beach, serves as a seductive extension of the already popular TAO Nightclub at The Venetian. By day, guests can reserve luxury cabanas that feature high-definition plasma screen televisions with X-Box gaming consoles, a DVD library, Internet, customized mini bars, sunglass cleaning, iPod rental and a staff of masseuses. As night falls, guests find themselves in an open-air nightclub featuring a floating dance floor, fire columns and high-energy music.

Swim with fellow card sharks or the real thing at downtown’s Golden Nugget.  Dive into all the action at the Golden Nugget’s newest aquatic attraction, The Tank, a $20-million pool complete with a 200,000-gallon shark tank, three-story waterslide and well-appointed cabanas.

After a crazy night out on the town, you may just need a full day to recover. Head to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Rehab every Sunday during the summer season. This daytime “recovery” therapy takes form in palm-shaded sandy beaches, blue water and some of the most beautiful bodies Las Vegas has to offer. Patrons need not leave the water to enjoy blackjack and cocktails at the swim-up Palapa Bar.
